Why did we introduce Global Impact Visas? Bringing in high-impact, innovative entrepreneurs with the potential to make New Zealand an innovation leader. Who is GIVs for? Innovative Entrepreneurs who create global impact ventures. Both experienced entrepreneurs and those with potential. Investors with entrepreneurial experience to invest in growing the innovation ecosystem in NZ. Thought leaders and network mobilisers pushing new ways of thinking and connect NZ ecosystem with global hubs. Entrepreneurs, pioneers, new paradigm builders Investors, catalysts, influencers, mentors 20% 80% Opportunity – how do we take advantage of NZ positioning itself as an incubation nation together? - Gap between current policies

Global Impact Visa Criteria Global Impact Work Visa (BG2) Acceptance into EHF Acceptable standard of health and character High level of English language proficiency (equivalent to IELTS 6.5) Sufficient maintenance funds Any funds to be invested in New Zealand were legally acquired (for investors) Global Impact Permanent Resident Visa (BG3) Held Global Impact Work Visa for 30 months Still have support of Edmund Hillary Fellowship Still meet health, character and fit and proper person requirements Haven’t been granted welfare assistance

Four Year Pilot – up to 400 visas INZ and EHF partnership – leveraging strengths Attraction of High Impact Investors and Entrepreneurs Selection of top 50 international candidates and 10 NZ candidates every 6 months by a panel of experts Global Impact Work Visa (3 years) issued to those who meet immigration requirements  Successful visa recipients enter EHF as cohorts. EHF provides ongoing support in NZ and abroad for 3 years Permanent resident visas granted to those are supported by the fellowship and meet INZ requirements Four Year Pilot – up to 400 visas EHF responsible for INZ responsible for

Build global impact ventures Connect New Zealand startups with global hubs Influence with new ways of thinking Invest capital and time Attract more talent and capital to accelerate growth We don’t expect every Fellow to achieve in all five of these areas, but we do plan to assemble a cohort that will achieve across all five. 9
