Storm Chasers Every teacher gets 6 storm chasers a week that they can give to students for demonstrating the characteristics of a storm chaser. Students can turn one half in for a weekly drawing Students can collect the other half of the storm chasers ticket throughout the month Once a month the Kona Ice truck will be here and students can trade in 4 storm chasers for a Kona Ice

PSAT All 9th graders are scheduled to take PSAT Importance October 11th in school periods 1-5 Room assignments will be posted cafeteria windows week before test Importance On average, students who take the PSAT/NMSQT score 145 points higher on the SAT than those who don’t. The PSAT/NMSQT provides tools to help improve skills before you take the SAT. It provides personalized feedback on student’s academic strengths and the areas that need improvement It gives you the tools you need to improve your skills and get ready for the SAT www.satpractice.org

DUAL ENROLLMENT Earn college credits for free! St. Petersburg College offers college classes to qualified high school students in Pinellas County at no charge! These courses give students credits toward a high school diploma and a college degree. Courses are available on SPC campuses and some local high school campuses. What's required to enroll 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA Satisfactory scores on the College Placement Test (PERT) or SAT/ACT. Obtain the signature of the high school principal on the Permission form Dual Campus Coursework form indicating the student is prepared for the dual enrollment experience. A unique partnership between St. Petersburg College and Pinellas County Schools The Early College Program offers college credit hours as well as high school credit at no cost to highly motivated students in grade 11. Earn as many as 60+ credits towards a 4-year bachelor's degree through participation in the Early College Program. Who is eligible? Students entering grade 11  What's required? A 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA or higher. Satisfactory scores on the College Placement Test (CPT/PERT) or SAT/ACT. Must complete World History, HOPE, and Geometry sophomore year.

EARLY ADMISSIONS Start college early - for early college admission to qualified high school students in Pinellas County at no charge! This program free! St. Petersburg College offers gives students credit toward a high school diploma and a college degree.
