MEANING The imparting, conveying or exchange of ideas, knowledge and information between two or more persons. An effort to establish a “commonness” with someone. Getting a receiver and the sender “turned” together for a particular message.

CHARACTERISED BY- Involvement of at least two persons. Message is must. May be oral, written or gestural. Is a two way process. Primary purpose is to motivate response. May be formal or informal. Flows up and down and also side to side.
