The First Few Weeks Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th INSET Days. Wednesday 6th – Friday 8th home visits Monday 11th– staggered start to school full time or part time. Thursday 14th - All arrive between 8.45 and 8.55. Full time or part-time or a mix.
Early Morning Routine Arrive between 8.45 and 8.55 by the door next to the hall. Children find their name to self register Children choose from a selection of early morning activities Time to talk to child’s teacher or play with your child 8.55 (roughly) tambourine signal tidy up for register, parents leave classroom
Daily Routine Registration and visual timetable Whole class teaching inputs Learning Line Time (a variety of: Child initiated, guided group by a teacher or teaching assistant and independent work. Also snack cafe time). Playtime Phonics Learning Line Time and reading Home time – 12.00 Lunch – 12.15 (lunchbox or hot meal) 1.15 – Linked provision 1.30 – Input and Learning Line Time 2.40 – Review of day, storcise and story. (milktime) 3.15 - Home
Toy to take home! Class toys Come home for an adventure for 1 sleep. Record their adventure with photos, drawing, writing etc Child shares the following day They also like to have a wash!

How can you help? Getting changed –dressed and undressed independently (velcro shoes are ideal) Sorting clothes inside out the correct way Putting coat on and doing up the zip/buttons Label all clothes and shoes! Independent toiletting Eating fruit whole. PE kit in school Water bottle in school (for water only) No jewellery Using a knife and fork. Child’s name (Ordering letters in name, lower case letters –cursive script – starting on the line) Share rhymes and Nursery Rhymes. Keep us informed of any changes or upsets Encourage independence
