HONEY ERASMUS KA2 Project

The origin of honey 400 million years ago, the bee appeared as some kind of mutation from wasps.

What is honey ? Who makes it & since when? Honey is a sweet and fluid natural food that has been made by bees since the very beginning of history. Egypt faraohs were buried with honey pots in their tombs because honey was very valuable for them.

Main Honey Components - 70% sugar 20% water 10% depending on the type of honey

Honey flavours 3 types - Rosemary honey. Lavender honey. Multifloral honey.

Bee types The average number of bees living in a hive is about 50000. There are 3 types of bees: - Drones - Queen bee - Worker bees
