DOMINICAN REPUBLIC NATIONAL REPORT SCHEDULE I.- INTRODUCTION SHARD II.- ACTIVITIES PERFORMED A- TRAINING PROCESS B- NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS C- TECHNICAL PROCESS D- OTHER ACTIVITIES III.- CONCLUSION

INTRODUCTION Regarding the National Report of the Dominican Republic, this is supported by the Training of the personnel, as well as training for new members to the Hydrographic Service of the Dominican Republic (SHARD), also including a meeting between the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) And SHARD with the objective of signing a Cooperation Agreement between both entities for Electronic Nautical Charts (ENC) of our country, among other considerations. "In Navigable Sea, Sustainable Development".

ACTIVITIES PERFORMED A.- TRAINING PROCESS In this year, (03) training course was held in Veracruz, Mexico, through the FOCAHIMECA Project, where our staff participated in these courses. We carried out a Basic Hydrography course in the country, for our personnel and people from national entities for hydrography purposes, thus complementing what was proposed by SHARD.

B.- NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS At the national level, SHARD is still in the process of cooperation and collaboration agreements with national public entities. At the international level, SHARD, through the Dominican Navy, held a meeting with the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO), with the objective of implementing a Cooperation Agreement on Electronic Nautical Charts (ENC) .

C.- TECHNICAL PROCESS D.- OTHER ACTIVITIES The Dominican Navy is in the process of adapting SHARD with the necessary equipment. D.- OTHER ACTIVITIES   The SHARD is analyzing and monitoring the rescue of Punta Balandra Lighthouse in the Bay of Samana.

CONCLUSION When I stated at MACHC 16 in Antigua and Barbuda, that plenary would be our spearhead, to achieve our proposed goals, and keep us perennial over time, therefore, we are walking step by step, to have an acceptable level in this community. “Let's encourage a safer world through HYDROGRAPHY”.

THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION IN NAVIGABLE SEA, SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
