Reducing the pressure on hospitals: A report on the value of occupational therapy The College published a report in all four UK nations With quantitative and qualitative evidence gathered from services around the UK Demonstrating innovative working – with occupational therapists working in A&E departments, ambulance services and GP practices all working toward a shared goal of keeping people out of hospital, reducing the length of stay in hospital and ensuring a timely and safe discharge The second report will be launched in July, looking at the deployment of occupational therapists in primary and social care settings to improve care for older people.
