The Revolutionary War Boston Tea Party Stamp Acts Paul Reveres Midnight Ride

Boston Tea Party-1773 The Boston Tea Party didn’t happen all of a sudden . There was a cause that made this happen. On December 16, 1773 a terrible thing happened. A normal size group of colonists boarded a ship and shouted ” Boston will be a teapot tonight!” After that happened they started doing mischief by dumping 342 chests of valuable tea into the Boston harbor. When King George III learned about the horrible “Tea Party” he demanded that the colonists of Boston will be punished. So after King George III demanded that the colonists will be punished by paying for the mischief they did. By this passage you can see the Boston Tea Party was awful.

Reveres Midnight Ride 1775 Paul Paul Revere rode across the countryside on his mighty steed trying to warn colonists about the British attack. Paul Revere said “ If the British march by land or by sea from the town to –night Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry arch of the north church tower as a signal light one if by land two if by sea” to one of his friends.

Stamp Acts-1765 All of these colonies such as New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, Maryland, South Carolina and Massachusetts got an invitation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives. The invitation said to send delegates to a general congress. All of those colonies accepted the invitation.

Conclusion After the Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere’s Midnight ride and the Stamp Acts, colonists were angry. Colonists probably thought why are we getting taxed.
