Successful language learner Anecdote in Hong Kong Practices talking to himself. Uses himself as a conversation partner.

Successful language learners Put some extra into it themselves to go beyond what is available in their classroom: - Keep a vocabulary journal - Take things that they hear- new words, new expressions and so on.

Successful language learners Devote a little of their private time to language learning. They need to give up something, in other words: use the available time in productive ways to increase their language learning capacity.

Successful language learners Seem to realize that they need to Keep journals.
