Music In The 20’s

Music was very important in the 1920’s, it gave people a sense of fashion. There was jazz witch was most popular at the time here were also Broadway musicals, swing, and ragtime that led to the birth of jazz. Like I said music was very important part of culture. It gave people a sense of fashion like the way they fix their hair, styles, clothes, and slang. Also the way people danced. During the 20’s people would go to places called “Speak-Easy’s. It was a sort of underground bar or club. It was a place where a lot of jazz was placed. Music

During the 20’s Jazz was unpopular at first During the 20’s Jazz was unpopular at first. It was an unknown type of music. Due to the closing of the seaport in New Orleans, musicians were forced to travel up the Mississippi to find work. Chicago and New York were the two cities most affected by this move.
