Impala By: Nicolas P.

Physical characteristics The impala has glossy short fur, large ears, its coat is mostly reddish-brown. They are about 88-165 pounds and 33-40 inches tall.

Habitat The impala lives in grasslands, light wooded areas, and savannas.

Food The impala eats grass, shrubs, herbs, and leaves. They are herbivores.

Protection/Predators The impalas predators are lions, pacts of wild dogs, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. It protects it self with its high jumps.

Life Span The impala lives for about 12 years.

Babies The impalas gestation is 6-7 months.

Cool Facts The impala can jump up about 10 feet. Only males have horns. They like to live in herds.
