Gary L. Dubisky, Jr. DO, FACN Sample Exam Questions Gary L. Dubisky, Jr. DO, FACN

Relax! My exam questions are straight forward and should be seen as an extension of the learning process. I expect you to have only a basic clinical understanding of the topics we covered. I hope that you have learned these basics, because at this stage we are just building a foundation. I hope that you have enjoyed what we’ve done so far.

Sample Questions The questions will appear with five choices. This is the same format that you will see on the Board Exams in the future.

Question 1 Which of the following is not typically associated with normal pressure hydrocephalus? A. Cognitive decline B. Gait ataxia C. Orthostasis D. Urinary incontinence E. Ventriculomegally

Question 2 Which of the following movement disorders is defined as rhythmic oscillations of agonist and antagonist muscles: A. Chorea B. Dystonia C. Hemiballismus D. Tic E. Tremor

Question 3 Which of the following is the best imaging study to look for evidence of a fracture of the first cervical (C1) vertebra? A. Computerized tomography (CT) B. Cross-table plain film X-ray C. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) D. Cervical myelogram E. Whole body bone scan

Question 4 A 15 year-old high school football player is injured on the field and transported to the hospital for evaluation for probable spinal cord injury. On examination you note that he has complete bilateral paralysis from the C4 level down. However, he is able to feel pinprick and vibratory sensation in the upper and lower extremities. The most likely diagnosis is: A. Anterior cord syndrome B. Brown-Séquard syndrome C. Central cord syndrome D. Posterior cord syndrome E. Syringomyelia

Question 5 Which of the following is the best imaging study to look for an acute ischemic stroke? A. Computed tomography (CT) B. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) C. Nuclear cisternogram D. Positron emission tomography (PET) E. Single-photon emission tomography (SPECT)
