Marriage of figaro-mozart Brigid and Bronte

definitions Texture refers to the interactions of melodies and harmonies within a song. Monophonic- single melody Homophonic- melody and harmony (clarinet and piano) Polyphonic- different sounds and voices Dynamics are the graduations in the volume of sound, from loud to soft, in a piece of music. Expressive techniques refers to the musical detail that articulates a style or interpretation of a style.

texture

Texture Twelve instruments involved in this overture and it constantly switches between polyphonic and homophonic Greatly implements tutti throughout the piece creating a whole sound for the recurring melody Mozart uses instruments to build volume and intensity

texture

TEXTURE Melodic lead is typically the flute or piano while accompanying voices play the harmony and they take a subordinate role Listeners interest is directed to a single line of music and harmony supports that Even use of homophonic and soloist featured sections with no imbalance of intensity

Dynamics

dynamics Piece starts in piano and suddenly changes to fortissimo at bar 12 Forte pianos are used on the long notes to add emphasis Besides dynamics Mozart put in there, the number of instruments and when they’re playing greatly affect the natural dynamics More instruments makes it more dense and the natural dynamics are always higher than when the texture in more sparse

Expressive techniques Slurs, trills and mordents add expression and interest to the piece Mordents add effect and contrast to a simple held note Slurs add a legato feel to the music being played and make the movements of steps smoother Grace notes spark an interest due to the high-pitched descending run in the violin part.

THANKS! Actually thank you for fucking up our lives and making us contemplate the possibility of a personal existential crisis as idk why the fuck I’m in this class, except to feel degraded and stupid as I know nothing ilys mr mortimer. Idk how to spell your name.
