What is a Chord? A chord is just two or more notes played at the same time. We are going to be using three note chords also known as triads.

How to work it out A Major chord consists of the root note A note 4 half tones above the root note called the major 3rd, and A note 3 half tones above the middle note called the perfect 5th.
