FarmBot Maasha Maheson
Proposal The FarmBot: machine that automates gardening and farming Stores data about temperature, light conditions, and the soil moisture. Uses light and temperature sensors and an automated sliding garden bed using a single Broadcom chip microcomputer and the Arduino Mega 2560 Will also eventually use moisture sensors and actuators for watering plants. Working next semester with Maheshwerie Samaroo and Adanegbe Amadasun.
Budget Original Budget: Originally over $600 when following the FarmBot website and adjusting to this project but shrank to around $400 when more adjustments were made (Includes materials for Phase 2 and 3 and not including tax and shipping for the fixed budget) Current Spending: Around $325 (Some parts were underbudgeted (like the Arduino Mega 2560) while other parts were overbudgeted or became unneeded in the project).
