The Himalayas contains some of the highest peaks in the world The Himalayas contains some of the highest peaks in the world. The Himalays has the biggest mountain in the world Mount Everest. The Himalays extends in a great arac of over 1,600 miles.

The Himalayas contain some of the highest peaks in the world The Himalayas contain some of the highest peaks in the world. The Himalayas also contain Mount Everest the highest mountain in the world. It rises 29,028 feet ( 5 ½ miles ) The Himalayas extend in a great arc of over 1,600 miles. The system is generally 100 to 150 miles broad and reaches from the plains of India to the Tibetan plateau.

The word Himalayas is a sanskrit word that means “ Abode of snow ”

Climbing You can climb the Himalayas, but it would be a very long climb since the mountain 29,028 feet high so it would be a very long climb. It takes 17 days to climb to the the base camp on the top of the mountain.
