TAM TAM A FLASH LIGHT THAT HELPS YOU FROM GETTING LOST MIS 304 February 24, 2010 Nicollette Donato

What is the TamTam? Works as a flashlight GPS for the sidewalk Projects both directions and maps on flat surfaces.

How TamTam Works TamTam uses GPS GPS satellites circle the earth twice a day in a very precise orbit and transmit signal information to earth. GPS receivers take this information and use triangulation to calculate the user's exact location. The GPS receiver compares the time a signal was transmitted by a satellite with the time it was received. The time difference tells the GPS receiver how far away the satellite is. With distance measurements from a few more satellites, the receiver can determine the user's position and display it on the unit's electronic map.

Direction Projection Put in your destination. Face the TamTam on any flat surface, such as a sidewalk. Follow the arrows until you reach your destination.

Map Projection Put in your destination. Face the TamTam on any flat surface, such as a wall. Project map on flat surface. Allows you to zoom and scroll like any digital map.
