Seven Projects-One Contract Franklin to Newell Projects: NHSX-63-6(75)—3H-07 (PCC Grade/Replace) NHSX-63-6(87)—3H-07 (Signals/Lighting) NHSX-63-6(90)—3H-07 (CC&P Overpass Bridge) NHSX-63-6(92)—3H-07 (Pedestrian RCB) NHSN-63-6(94)—2R-07 (Water Main) NHSX-63-6(96)—3H-07 (Temp dewatering, Subdrain, Groundwater Suppression System) NHSN-63-6(97)—2R-07 (Grading/Railroad Shoofly)

Franklin to Newell Reconstruction Focus of today’s meeting is construction along the existing CC&P Railroad underpass

US 63 Franklin Street to Newell Street Reconstruction Includes significant coordination with CC&P Railroad Company Essential that all aspects of DS-15055 are understood and followed Coordination with US 63 reconstruction Jefferson Street through Franklin Street Coordination with City of Waterloo Street Program (East 4th Street Resurfacing)

US 63 Franklin Street to Newell Street Reconstruction Detours Existing “soft” detour of US 63 through traffic in effect for this construction season (2017) Seven calendar day “hard” detour this fall for construction of temporary dewatering system (Estimating Proposal Site No. 1) “Hard” detour of US 63 allowed beginning March 5, 2018

CC&P Overpass Rendering

Significant Groundwater Issues Currently suppressing the groundwater table 15 feet Plans include temporary dewatering and shoring for constructing a new groundwater suppression system

Temporary Dewatering To be constructed in 2017 To be operated beginning November 15, 2017 (Estimating Proposal Site No. 2) Will maintain dry pavement during winter 2017/18 Will allow time for improvements prior to spring 2018

US 63 Reconstruction Plans include construction of CC&P railroad shoofly and partial removal of the existing CC&P bridge (including some piling)

CC&P Shoofly Construction Significant coordination with CC&P CC&P to perform portions of shoofly construction and removal Once shoofly is operational, DOT contractor to perform work within 45 calendar days (Estimating Proposal Site No. 3)

Other Work on CC&P ROW Refer to DS-15055 NHSX-063-6(90)—3H-07 bridge beams to be placed during 4 hour Absolute Work Windows All other work to be performed during Conditional Work Windows
