The Case of Little Red Riding Hood Internet Safety The Case of Little Red Riding Hood

Using the Internet What can you use the internet for? And how can you connect to it? With your partner think of as many ideas as you possibly can!

Using the Internet It can be used for lots of fantastic things. Finding out information! Watching interesting videos! Contacting friends and relatives from all around the world!

But…. It is extremely important to remember to use the internet safely. Although it is brilliant, if used wrongly it can also be very dangerous. It is very important that you make sure you follow these rules to stay safe online.

Zip It! Never ever get our personal information on the internet. No full names, pictures, addresses or any ways of contacting you. If you do people who you do not want to will be able to contact you!

Block it! If you receive a message from somebody you do not know, immediately block it. This is the same if you receive a message you thought was from your friend but isn’t. Remember any form of bullying online is completely unacceptable!

Flag it! As soon as you receive information on the computer from somebody you do not know, or if it seems very suspicious… …tell an adult. This can be parents, relatives & teachers. Make sure you tell somebody so that they can help you

Mr B’s Challenge I would like you to create a poster to explain how to stay safe on the internet. It must be informative as well as colourful. There will be a winner from each class who will receive a prize. The overall winner will have their poster displayed around school!
