Volume 96, Pages 5-8 (November 2016) Identification and targeting of microRNAs modulating acquired chemotherapy resistance in Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC): A better strategy to combat chemoresistance  Samayita Das  Medical Hypotheses  Volume 96, Pages 5-8 (November 2016) DOI: 10.1016/j.mehy.2016.09.004 Copyright © 2016 Elsevier Ltd Terms and Conditions

Fig. 1 Evolution of chemo-resistant microRNAs by the tumor-micro environmental interaction. The microenvironmental components such as endothelial cells, immune cells and fibroblasts in the heterogenous tumors contributes significantly in the microRNA expression in the tumoral component and the tumor that evolves eventually by selection pressure harbors those microRNA which render the tumor cells resistant to chemotherapy.
