Product Disassembly and Documentation Procedure The manufacturing process used an assembly line. The first parts that are connected are the bottom housing and the connecting rod. The second part that goes on is the valve which screws on to the connecting rod. The third part is the spring goes into the valve The fourth part is the bottom cap which screws into the bottom housing enclosing the valve. The fifth part is putting the rubber diaphragm into the connecting rod and then put the large nut and screw it on the connecting rod The sixth part is the large spring where it is put in the circular indention in the large nut. The seventh part is the metal plate which goes on top of the large spring. The eight part is putting the screws into the bottom and top housing. Then put the T Bolt and screw it into the Top Housing.

Good and Bad Features of the Product Good Features: Designed to reduce LP-Gas and anhydrous ammonia container pressures to between 3 and 125 PSIG. Precision-built with a multi-million BTU capacity, the 1580M series is perfect for such big, tough jobs as crop dryers, asphalt batch mixing plants, road building “tar wagons”, heat treating and other large industrial and commercial loads. It’s also ideal as a first stage regulator in large multiple operations. The AA1580M series is ideal for use in anhydrous ammonia applications such as blue print machines and heat treat Bad Features: It is oddly shaped. It is difficult to service.

Product Success and Failure This product is successful because of its design to regulate air pressure to a certain PSI. For this product to fail, if too much PSI is used through the product, it will destroy the rubber diaphragm and cause the product to fail. If the product is not serviced properly the rubber diaphragm will deteriorate and cause the product to fail.

Product Materials The materials used in this product are appropriate such as the stainless steel to prevent rust and the brass fittings complement the stainless steel.

Estimated Cost The estimated manufacturers cost for this product is about 60 dollars.
