Overall Goals Access Internal/external engagement Diversity Strategic Planning Overall Goals Access Internal/external engagement Diversity Sustainability Collaboration Public stewardship Financial security These are several themes that are being discussed to capture the goal of the campus. I would like your feedback to them before we complete a group exercise. Access – This was discussed as an all-encompassing goal that brings in the recruitment of underrepresented groups as well as first-generation, others. The core value of a “public” university – affordable and accessible – as well as how we help students access knowledge. Internal engagement – discussion of this is everyone’s job as well as a focus on meeting the needs of our students Sustainability – not just the environmentalists use of the word but also taking a long term view of what we do and its ability to move us into the future Collaboration – This is a core value. We get things done by working together, shared governance Public steward – Community focus
