Soccer Off-Season Off-season is used to develop athletes through soccer specific training, speed and agility, strengthening, and endurance. We do attempt to push our athletes hard in hopes of developing their abilities week in and week out. Taking Care of themselves – very important to eat right and hydrate as often as possible. Texting System set up – Encourage kids to pass on all text messages to other athletes.

Benefits of High School Soccer Off-Season – Endurance, Speed and quickness, Community, etc. Touches on the Ball – Probably more than double players touches by being involved Extra Training Sessions each week Representing your school and community Recognition at Collegiate Level Experience of Playing Soccer with your classmates

Injuries/Doc Paperwork - Online Morning Treatments Concussions (Proper Protocol)

ECC (Extracurricular Code of Conduct) As an athlete, your sons will be held to a higher standard and must agree to the following rules in order to be in athletics. http://ltisdschools.org/cms/lib09/TX21000349/Centricity/Domain/22/LTISD%20Extra%20Curricular%20Code%20of%20Conduct%2015-16.pdf

Random Drug Testing Voluntary I am encouraging all my athletes to sign up.

Concerns during the Year Athlete to Coach Conversations Email The right way to approach things and the wrong way – please be certain you are doing it the right way.

Try Out Process Although off-season does allow for us to get to know all our athletes, it is not a try out...Try-outs will start on the Monday we get back from Thanksgiving Break (November 28th) and teams will be posted on that Wednesday night (November 30th). We had 92 try-out last year and cut 28 athletes…this year we expect to get over a 100 to come out. Very Competitive!

Last Year Varsity: 25-2 and finished as State Finalist (top 2 teams in the entire state) JV Black: 16-0-3 JV White: 5-7-4 Program Total: 46 – 9 - 7 Very successful…yet, we know we can be better.
