Orchestra Events Summer Camp starts the week prior to school start Summer Camp @ school 8/12 – 8/19, Team Building, Practice, Rehearsal 8/19, 6 pm: Performance (Stadium)/6:30 pm: Section Potluck Dinner/Dessert (Lunch Area, organized by Orchestra Parent Rep) For details, see Orchestra Camp 2017 Orchestra Concert @ school 10/31, 3:30-5:30 pm Rehearsal 11/1, evening: Concert, Parent Attendance is Mandatory Westview GOLD Field Tournament @ school: GOLD’s Largest Fundraiser: Proceeds benefit ALL GOLD groups, including Orchestra 11/8, mid-afternoon through evening: Many Volunteers Needed (both parents and students) Full Orchestra Rehearsals @ school Nov 27, 29, Dec 4, 6 from 7-9 pm; Winter Show @ school 12/11– 12/12, Rehearsal 12/13, Dress Rehearsal (afternoon-evening) 12/14 – 12/15, Evening Performances El Camino Festival @ Oceanside El Camino High School 3/8-10, specific date/time TBA; self-provided transportation Mar 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28, Apr 2 from 7-9 pm Festival Award Concert, 4/3, evening @ school Poway Festival (Apr 4-6, specific date/time TBA) @ Poway Center for the Performing Arts Solo Ensemble Festival@ school 4/21, all day: Required for all students 5/1, evening: Command Performance Concert (mandatory attendance for students) Gold Show @ school 5/21 – 5/22, Rehearsal 5/23, Dress Rehearsal (afternoon-evening) 5/24, 25 Evening Performances Gold Banquet (6/9) @ school Summer Camp starts the week prior to school start Disneyland usually in Nov/Dec Winter show in December, before winter break Solo Ensemble – after Spring ** Requirement: 1.
