The national hub for workplace and employment information for people with disability, employers and service providers. Note: All images used in this presentation are of people living with disability who volunteered to be photographed by JobAccess

JobAccess support in a nutshell Expert advice via website and phone Employer engagement services Helping employers attract and retain the skills and talents of people with disability Employment Assistance Fund Financial help for employers and eligible people with disability and mental health conditions to buy work related modifications and services Complaints Resolution and Referral Service (CRRS) National Disability Abuse and Neglect Hotline

The Employment Assistance Fund (EAF) To assist employers to improve access to employment, work opportunities and work productivity of people with disability

EAF Eligibility Criteria Work minimum eight hours per week Work minimum 20 hours per week if Self employed at least equivalent to National Minimum Wage Jobseeker with EPP 13 weeks minimum contract Australian Resident Ongoing disability – two years duration

Modifications and equipment

Auslan assistance Three different levels of assistance available Includes: Auslan interpreting Real Time Captioning Remote Interpreting Co-worker – Certificate II in Auslan course Auslan 1 Covers Auslan interpreting, Real Time Captioning & Remote Interpreting $6000 p/12months per eligible employee - capped Interpreters to be NAATI accredited & no cancellation fees covered $53 p/hour covered for travel by interpreter if more than 200km return Auslan 2 Covers Auslan interpreting for interviews & completion of tests associated with interviews No limit on number of interviews – but new App required for each new employer No travel costs covered for interpreters Auslan 3 Financial assistance for co-worker to complete nationally recognised Certificate II in Auslan Need colleague who uses Auslan as main method of communication Capped at $855. Applied for prior to enrolment & reimbursement at completion of the course

Disability Awareness Training Deafness Mental Health Awareness $1500 per 12 months per eligible employee Trainer – minimum Cert IV in Training & Assessment Travel costs not payable

On-the-job support Counselling Coaching programs Mentoring Alternative learning techniques For people with mental health conditions or specific learning disorders only $1500 per 12 months per eligible employee Quote required outlining plan

How to Apply for Assistance Service Providers, Employers & Individuals can submit applications Go online to www.jobaccess.gov.au Click on Login on top left hand side, then register or login

How to Apply for Assistance Click on ‘Start new EAF application’ and pick option that applies ie applying as a Provider, Employer or Individual Fill in worker’s details including disability, DOB, JSID, address, job title and start date; employer details including a contact person, company name & ABN

Eligibility information required Evidence of disability which has/will last at least 2 years – DES can provide info from eSAT but for individual or employer applications need written medical report Residency status – if not born in Australia need certified evidence to demonstrate Evidence of Employment – signed employment contract or JobAccess can send a proforma template for employer to sign
