Nashville Nashville is the capital of Tennessee and the second most populous city in the state behind Memphis. It is located on the Cumberland River in the north-central part of the state. Nashville is best known for its association with country music and more particularly the Grand Ole Opry resulting in the nickname as “Music City USA.”

Sightseeing The Hermitage is a historical plantation and home of Andrew Jackson, the 7th President of the United States. The Parthenon in Nashville, is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens. It was built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition. The Parthenon functions as an art museum and stands as the centerpiece of Centennial Park.

Entertainment The Country Music Hall of Fame was created to identify and preserve the evolving history and traditions of country music and to educate its audiences. The Ryman Auditorium was home to the until March of 1974, when the show moved to a 4400-seat Grand Ole Opry House. The Grand Ole Opry It is one of the oldest continuous radio programs in the United Sates, having been broadcast on WSM since October 5, 1925. The Grand Ole Opry Museum displays feature special audio and video effects and interactive devices so guests can hear their favorite songs as they relive the history of country music. RCA Studio B was where legends such as Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, the Everly Brothers, Chet Atkins and Eddy Arnold, recorded at this birthplace of the “Nashville Sound.”

Entertainment The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is a zoo and historic plantation farmhouse located six miles southeast of downtown Nashville. On the grounds of the zoo, the property still maintains the original historic plantation house, called Grassmere. Visitors to the zoo can also tour this historic home and the associated farm.

Wildhorse Saloon Awards Ceremony Heritage Festival groups will enjoy an unforgettable evening at the famous Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville. The Wildhorse Saloon has become synonymous with great music and good times. It is a restaurant, concert site, dance venue and TV Studio all in one attracting over 1.5 million music fans per year. The Heritage Festivals Awards Ceremony takes place on stage right after a delicious dinner.
