Presentation transcript:

Main hazards and escape routes in TCC8/ECN3 Two main hazards which can trigger an evacuation alarm*) are: Fire Oxygen deficiency Three main escape routes are: Two emergency exits located on the Jura side of ECN3 Lift and stairs in the lift shaft B.912 *) The evacuation alarm is a loud, siren noise that repeats in an alternating pattern of 10 seconds on and 3 seconds silent until switched off by the Fire Brigade (pompiers).

In case of fire alarm Two main escape routes are the emergency exits located on the Jura side of ECN3, because they are equipped with a pressurized airlock. A secondary escape route is the stairs in the lift shaft. Use of the lift is forbidden in case of fire B.912

Oxygen deficiency alarm One detection head activated – local flashing light Two or three heads activated - flashing light + evacuation alarm (siren)

In case of Oxygen deficiency alarm The closest emergency exit should be used; it is permissible to use the lift. B.912 Flashing lights

(never try to cross fire, smoke or gas cloud) If use of the main escape routes is impossible or dangerous (never try to cross fire, smoke or gas cloud) Two additional escape routes can be used: Emergency Exit in the Blue Air-Separation Wall and escape toward b.912 (for example in case of big fire in ECN3)

(never try to cross fire, smoke or gas cloud) If use of the main escape routes is impossible or dangerous (never try to cross fire, smoke or gas cloud) Emergency Exit located behind the Electronic Barrack on the Saleve side with escape toward COMPASS (for example in case of ODH alarm and a gas cloud around the LKr calorimeter)
