Horizon 2020 – Health, Demographic Change and Wellbeing Horizon 2020 reflects the policy priorities of the Europe 2020 strategy Research and innovation under Horizon 2020 is an investment in better health for all. It aims to keep older people active and independent for longer and supports the development of new, safer and more effective interventions. R&I under Horizon 2020 also contributes to the sustainability of health and care systems. CHAFEA: Third Health Programme Call priorities: Migrants’ health: Best practices in care provision for vulnerable migrants and refugees Gathering knowledge and exchanging best practices on measures reducing underage drinking and heavy episodic drinking Gathering knowledge and exchanging best practices on measures to prevent illicit drug use in line with the minimum quality standards in drug demand reduction Support to Member States and stakeholders to address the chronic disease challenge Donor selection and protection Consumer, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (Chafea)

CHAFEA: Third Health Programme Eligible countries: EU Member States, Iceland, Norway and countries which have a bilateral agreement with the EU  proposed activities must be carried out in at least 3 countries eligible under the 3rd Health Programme and these activities must be carried out in areas which are particularly affected by the high influx of refugees Applying for funding: The current call is open until 2 June 2016. Interreg Central Baltic Programme Programme priorities: Competitive economy Sustainable use of common resources Well-connected region Skilled and socially inclusive region Opportunities for health projects: Specific objective 4.1 More people benefiting from stronger Central Baltic communities Specific objective 4.1: This specific objective targets a wide range of practical community and local level social problems. It will do so through joint educational and/or training activities. Community and local level problems and challenges can be related for example to health, minorities, safety, gender, elderly and low involvement in entrepreneurship. Activities supported are seen as instruments to strengthen communities via “people to people” projects.

Interreg Central Baltic Programme Programme area: parts of Finland (incl. Åland), Sweden and Latvia as well as all of Estonia Applying for funding: Small & regular projects 2-step application procedure for regular projects Next open call for all priorities will be open from 2 January until 27 February 2017 More information: http://centralbaltic.eu Small projects: max. 200 000 EUR ERDF funding, max. 2 years  simplified application and shorter reporting Projects under specific objective 4.1 are implemented by a simplified small project approach.

Swedish Institute: Third Country Participation in the Baltic Sea Region TCPBSR is an offer extended to Swedish organisations wishing to apply for funding in order to co-operate with non-EU countries in an EU project. Non-EU countries that can received funding are: Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine & Belarus Next call for applications will open in April/May 2016.
