Do You Actually Know How to Read? Can you look at an article and find what you want to know? Do you understand what is being said? Is this what you look like when you read? If the answer is yes to that than it’s a good thing I am here to help! http://learningworksforkids.com/wp-content/uploads/confused-child.jpg http://www.troll.me/images2/skeptical-baby/done-reading-still-confused-thumb.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X5t8jbrdsKQ/TfZfHcEjUOI/AAAAAAAADdc/jbjfENSnXac/s1600/confused-child.jpg

My article is from National Society of Genetic Counselors My article is from National Society of Genetic Counselors. You can access their blog and the article by going to http://nsgc.org/p/bl/et/blogaid=405 and you will see the title “DNA, Ancestry Testing and You”. One step to reading is to find what you want to read and what you want to learn about. A major component of that is to find out whether what you’re reading is credible or not. First step to that is to look at who is writing the article. Let’s Begin Reading.

Who? When? Where? So many questions just to read. Near the author’s name in the article there should be the date it was published. If you’re really interested in DNA testing and what your ancestry has to do with your genetics and how that affects your health, I wouldn’t be looking at something posted back in the 90’s. If you found the article than you should already have some idea of where it was published. The website it originated from and you can even check at the bottom of the page to find the copyright location. http://www.davidpr.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/blog.jpg

What? DNA? Genetics? Ancestry testing? What even? What is DNA? What is genetics? What is ancestry testing? What do they have to do with you and me? http://www.interactive-biology.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Genetics.jpg

How? How does genetics play a role in ancestry? How does your ancestry say whether or not you’re related to someone? How does ancestry testing help people that are adopted? How does ancestry testing tell someone their heath risks? http://blogs.ancestry.com/ancestry/files/2013/02/Renees-ethnicity-results.png
