I still can’t believe that I missed the hot air balloon! Scarecrow I miss you already, Dorothy! I’ve been doing some thinking lately, now that I have this brain and all, why don’t you come back and visit? I have always been a dreamer and a firm believer that anything is possible. I am humble, honest and willing to help any person or creature in need. I am most famous for destroying the Wicked Witches of the East and West in Oz. Dorothy Gale I would love to, Scarecrow! But, Uncle Henry is planning a trip to Australia. It sounds exciting, so I think I will be tagging along. I’ve always wanted to visit “the land down under”! Cowardly Lion That sounds like a lot of fun, Dorothy. Before I got my courage, I would have been too afraid to travel that far away. Thanks again, btw. Will Toto be going to Australia too? Scarecrow Dorothy Gale Of course Toto is coming too! I’m a little nervous since there are weather forecasts calling for a terrible storm. We will be traveling by boat… Tin Man Tin Man Hey, you never know; that storm might just sweep you back to Oz….. Cowardly Lion

Before I traveled to Oz, I was just a poor orphan girl who lived with her aunt and uncle on a quiet farm in rural Kansas. In a place called Oz, however, I am regarded as royalty and am best known for killing the wicked witches of the east and west. I have a little black dog named Toto who I just adore. He comes with me everywhere I go, even in Oz. Some of my closest friends are Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion. They are each flawed in a way, but I try not to dwell on that. I look for the goodness in others and try to help them overcome their struggles. My friends do the same for me too. In fact, a terrible tornado once swept through Kansas and destroyed everything on our farm. It even swept me away to Oz! Luckily, my friends were there to help me get back to Kansas!
