Obscure, but essential, places to visit before you graduate UD Bucket List: Obscure, but essential, places to visit before you graduate By: Brianna Ciocca

Perkins Student Center The Review & The Hen Zone The Hen Zone, located in the basement of Perkins Student Center, is a place where students can go to relax, hang out with friends, play pool, or partake in various other extracurricular activities. The Review, the University of Delaware’s student newspaper, located in Perkins Student Center, is a place where English and Journalism students can can crucial writing experience while attending the university.

Mineralogical Museum The Mineralogical Museum, located in Penny Hall on East Campus, is part of the department of geological sciences. It is free to students and it contains various, fascinating rock and mineral collections from all over the world. Pictured left, there is a collection of rocks from across North America. Geology students can also utilize this museum for help with their labs and studies.

The Chapel in Trabant The Chapel is a secluded study area on the second level of the Trabant Student Center. Not many underclassmen know it exists because from the Main Street side it looks like an actual church. However, once you enter you realize that it’s a quiet, peaceful, and luxurious study area when you have a break between classes.

“The Fishbowl” in Townsend Hall A quiet, round study area in Townsend Hall on South Campus, deemed “The Fishbowl” by many of the Agricultural Studies students is the perfect place to take a break from class and work on assignments. Not many non-majors know it exists so it creates the perfect study environment. With very limited background noise it is the perfect environment to study for an important exam.

UD Botanic Gardens The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources’ Botanic Gardens are very beautiful to take a stroll by on a nice Spring or Fall Day. Located behind the UD Creamery on South Campus, they offer amazing views to students looking to go on a walk between classes or looking for a nice place to clear their heads. With gazebos and benches throughout the gardens, it is the perfect spot to appreciate the beauty of nature.

Dairy Farm & UDairy Creamery The UDairy Creamery on South Campus is the perfect place to grab a refreshing treat before, between, or after classes. The ice cream is made on location and the milk for the ice cream comes from the cows on the Dairy Farm, pictured left.
