Activities of Lublin Eco-Energy Cluster for development of the SMART Specialization – Renewable energy in Lubelskie Region   Małgorzata Gałczyńska Foundation for Lubelskie Development – Co-ordinator of Lublin Eco-Energy Cluster

Lublin Eco-Energy Cluster Cluster Partners 46 entities, include: 40 entrepreneurs, science and research units, academies, business support institutions, local government from Lubelskie, Świętokrzyskie, Mazowieckie and Wielkopolskie Region Co-operation in the field of energy production (solar, wind, water and geothermal energy) and in the field of production and use biomass. Among partners there are: producers of machines and appliances, pellets and briquettes, designers and constructors of wind and photovoltaic farms. Another group consists of entities dealing with energy efficiency and energy saving buildings

Mission To support all possible activities related to sustainable use of renewable energy sources based on the potential of the Lubelskie Region through developing and implementing of technological, manufacturing and processing innovations, popularization of energy efficiency and energy-efficient buildings and to promote renewable energy sources in the region.

Cooperation with Business Incubator of Foundation for Lubelskie Development With support of Business Incubator 30 companies in branches: renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy-saving buildings and IT technologies for energy sector will start business activity till 2020. New companies are engaging to direct cooperation with partners of the Lublin Eco-Energy Cluster. Foundation is implementing the project Connect, directed to startups. In the frame of this project two startups was created by companies from the Lublin Eco-energy Cluster: Plantalux - producer of innovative LED COB lighting system which comprise of controlling and analitical system for control plant growth; MKM Energia – energy saving boiler with heating management system

Business Incubator of Foundation for Lubelskie Development Business Incubator is equipped with the photovoltaic installation to produce electricity with a power of 30 kW. Photovoltaic panels are installed on the facades and the roof of the building. The installation is available for research of entrepreneurs from the Incubator and from the Lublin Eco-Energy Cluster (LEEC) Specifications of Installation Power generator: 30 kVA, System: three-phase 400/230 (3/N/PE) Monocrystalline panels: 162 pcs. Poject „S3-Empowering for Innovation and Growth in Medium-Sized Cities and Regions (EmpInno) WP3 – Empowering + exploiting transnational RIS3 priorities Energy and Food Smart specialisation activities: Local level Organisation of 12 R+D transfer workshops Organisation of 8 company dating events; Organisation of 3 training courses on internationalisation, product commercialisation and cooperation with partners on the transnational level. Transnational level Participation of experts in 4 transnational workshops Organisation of match making events for companies and regional stakeholders from the partner regions. One match making event will be organised during Lublin Fair for ENERGETICS in November 2017.

Co-operation with Targi Lublin SA Promotion of new technologies of energy production, idea of energy efficiency and energy-saving buildings Co-operation with Targi Lublin SA Lublin Eco-Energy Cluster is professional partner of Lublin Fair for ENERGETICS since 2008. This is the flagship fair enevt in Eastern Poland, bringing together the energy and construction sector. Cluster activities: seminar organized by the Lublin Eco-Energy Cluster – the objective is to promote environmental –friendly innovation and new technologies related to the use of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and energy-saving buildings among entrepreneurs, local governments, individual consumers and students (14-16.11.2017, seminar - 15.11.2017) presentations of the Cluster offer at the fair stand.

Project „SMART Gmina” The aim of the project is achieving energy independence by the municipality. In accordance with the national law is possibility of creation energy cluster - it is form of cooperation local partners: communities, private investors, local companies, private people, prosumers for production and distribution of energy from renewable energy sources. It is the form of green economy development based on the local cooperation and using the local resources. In the Lublin Eco-energy Cluster co-operate many partners with the different competences useful for initiate and develop of the energy clusters on the Lubelskie Voivodship. At this moment we are mapping those competencies and we are building the chain of links between partners. Finally, we will offer the support for entities who are planning to start of energy cluster activity.
