Why have an online experience? Digital learning 65% 96% 42% Why have an online experience?

Hybrids: flexibility = responsibility! Time management is a skill!

THE “LOOSE”-”TIGHT” Policy: TIGHT: Twice a week you meet in the regular classroom according to the hour and section on your schedule: (ALWAYS check Moodle DAILY for potential schedule changes) SECTION 2/ 1st hour Monday & Friday(hps1m) SECTION 7/ 1st hour Tuesday & Friday (hps1t) SECTION 8 / 4th hour Monday & Friday (hps4m) TIGHT: Seminar will often begin with a bellringer activity, which starts at the BELL. If you are not in your desk when the bell rings, you will be marked TARDY.

SCHOOL POLICIES will be enforced! TIGHT: Hall passes will be required. NO passes in class the first or last 15 minutes of the seminar. If you need a pass you need to write your name and time on the sign out sheet located in the plastic tray near the door. NO caps/headgear in the rooms OR hallways from 8:35 to 3:05…this will be strictly enforced across the whole school. Put your big backpack and headgear in your locker when you get to school! String backpacks only in the classroom SCHOOL POLICIES will be enforced!

LOOSE: Thursday is the FLEX DAY…anyone can come to the media center on Thursday during their hour to get help from me. TIGHT: The FLEX DAY becomes a MANDATORY class day if you missed class for ANY reason or if you have ANY late work not submitted by Friday seminar the previous week…if either of those conditions exists you MUST ATTEND FLEX day. Failure to attend a mandatory FLEX day will result in an unexcused absence…AND A REFERRAL TO ADMINISTRATION!!!

LOOSE: The rest of the week you work online using MOODLE…at your pace, whenever you want! (this is the LOOSE part!) VERY TIGHT!!! It is mandatory to log in to MOODLE the day before your seminar day, and at least once between your weekly seminar days or you will be considered UNEXCUSED and will be assigned detention just like you were unexcused from any other regular class. I will take log in attendance and assign detentions on Fridays.

LOOSE: You can upload your work to Moodle ANYTIME before the Friday deadline. VERY TIGHT!!! Just like a regular class, your work for the week MUST be turned in (uploaded to Moodle) by the Friday deadline. If you don’t turn in your work for the unit you will not be allowed to take the unit exam!

https://imoodle.district833.org

REMEMBER: Login and set up your profile on Moodle…THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!! Insert a nice selfie that will help me recognize you! (please use discretion when uploading a selfie!) Get the email address you will be checking regularly in your profile ASAP!!! You will be expected to check that email once daily Get started on the Moodle activities right away! Don’t procrastinate Don’t forget about the FLEX day (Thursdays) ALWAYS KNOW YOU ARE WELCOME to come and get help!!! Please introduce yourself to me …either before class or just stop in anytime!
