Program History Founded 1983 with a class of 15 Three members of the class started the 1st public newsletter, “Foothill Farm and Garden” Current newsletter, “Curious Gardener” 1st Demo Garden – 1986 was started by Helen Bale in Auburn 2nd Demo Garden – 1996 - 2001 Current Demo Garden – 2009 We still have 1 member from that class active. The 1st demo garden was started by Helen Bale in Auburn at the DeWitt Center The 2nd demo garden was located at the Placer County Fair Grounds in Roseville. Our current garden is located next to the Extension office in Auburn and was started by Nikki Duncan and Nancy Edwards Original art work by UC Master Gardener Corrinne Kedinger
