Accessories: Prongs 7 Sizes: short bi-nasal prongs 100% silicone Micro, Small, Medium, Large or X-Large Also Medium-wide and Large- wide with wider septum distance 100% silicone Conic shape Rounded base
Accessories: Masks 4 Sizes: nasal masks 100% silicone Small, Medium, Large, X-Large 100% silicone
Accessories: Fixation Pillow Stable basis for Miniflow® Prevents skin damage Adds slight angle to the generator
Accessories: Pressure Line (BM4010) Used with certain circuits, where there is no pressure line or other pressure measurement included
Accessories: Measurement Tape (BM2150) Used as a sizing guide for… Prongs Masks Bonnets
Application: Measurement Tape (Prongs/Masks) Compare template with size of nares and septum In this example the baby would require a small (S) prong and either a small (S) or medium (M) mask
Application: Measurement Tape (Bonnets) Cover the nape of the neck and ears The right size can be identified on the template If roughly half-way between sizes choose the smaller size Example: XL
Application: General Points Prong: as large as possible (avoids leakage) Mask: as small as possible, but often two sizes possible Attach the fixation strips before you connect to patient
Application: Fixation Strips Fixation strips in prolongation of flaps Slight v-shape
Application: Prongs Keep distance between nasal septum and basis of prong Choose prong as large as possible! Rounded part of prongs on upper lip
Application: Masks With mask, angle should be wider to avoid leakage at nasal root
Application: Prongs Conversely, with prongs a narrow angle aids nasal entry
Application: Masks Mask should fit right beside the nare
Application: Overview Support may be needed for heavier circuits
