Need to provide focus Fully engage staff in the culture of creating scholars and leaders Provide a foundation for common expectations in each school and classroom Provide a foundation and support for teachers to grow and refine teaching Provide a foundation and support for administrative teams to lead teaching/learning

What work we do with Center for Student Achievement Needs-based assessment 8 professional development sessions – school-based – 2-3 hours all staff Working sessions to use data to plan instruction Systematic plan for teacher support and plans with follow-up Coaching cycle – 13 sessions – Same coach- trainer Train trainer model for Student Achievement leader/other mentor to coach and support Alignment with administration – Coordinated PD (from Admin view and what is evidence of successful implementation – supervision cycle through observation/feedback – Principal/administrative team has a coach as well Entire school is immersed in the career & college/quality instruction direction at the same time.

What does the partnership provide Kingman / CFA Partnership What does the partnership provide Why it is a fit for KUSD? 3-5 Year partnership Just finished Year I CFA provides proven structure for instructional alignment to build capacity in data-informed instruction to support AZCCRS Wrap around PD and coaching for leadership and teachers A network of teachers and resources built on excellence and culture KUSD does not have the internal resources to provide the services and we need to develop our own staff Our staff is committed to student success and needs a foundation of support to guide the changes in culture KUSD staff is able and working toward goals for creating structures to get students and families to understand being goal-minded towards college and career
