Second Grade WainwrightsCrew 8/28-9/1 Hot Topics This Week Homework Math: Wrapping up Topic 1 Fluently Add & Subtract within 20. Beginning Topic 9 on place value. Spelling: L, S & R blends Language: Adjectives Reading: Story structure and how a character responds to events and challenges. Social Studies: Community Read 20 minutes per night and complete the reading log. Reading logs are due Friday morning. Directions are on the log. Math pages should be completed nightly and turned in on the following day. Practice addition and subtraction flash cards (within 20) for 5 minutes nightly. Dates to Remember: Topic 1 Math quiz- Monday 8/28, Topic 1 Math Test Wed. 8/30 Phonics Test Fri. 9/1 .
