Once upon a time, a little girl named Goldilocks did a little breaking and entering into the house of the three bears. She checked the porridge, the stools, and the beds. Too hot, too cold Too hard, too soft . . .

But HERE’S the real story…

The Goldilocks Effect Goldilocks and the Three Planets One was too hot One was too cold But one was just right! Earth must be just the right distance from the sun to be habitable (as we know it). Actually, without greenhouse warming, we’d be about 33 C/59 F colder. Venus 460°C / 860°F Earth 15°C / 59°F Mars -55°C / -67°F
