What Time Is It? Ecclesiastes 3:4 – “…A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance….” When sin plagues us it is time to weep and mourn.

A Day Of Confession  Nehemiah 9:1-2 --Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the sons of Israel assembled with fasting, in sackcloth and with dirt upon them.  The descendants of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.

A Day For Repentance And The Word Spent a fourth of the day in confession. Spent a fourth of the day in hearing the word of God. Purging the nation of their past and present sins.

The Power Of Confession Psalm 38:18 – “For I confess my iniquity; I am full of anxiety because of my sin.”

James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

Psalm 32:5 I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord”; And You forgave the guilt of my sin.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Proverbs 28:13 “He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.

The God Who Longs For Us Nehemiah 9:7-17 God sought Abram –vs. 7-8 God descended – vs. 13 God leads His people – vs. 13-15 God cares for His people – Vs. 17

Our Awesome God Nehemiah 9:6 -- “You alone are the Lord. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them And the heavenly host bows down before You.

Nehemiah 9:8 “You found his heart faithful before You, and made a covenant with him to give him the land of the Canaanite, of the Hittite and the Amorite, of the Perizzite, the Jebusite and the Girgashite— To give it to his descendants. And You have fulfilled Your promise, for You are righteous.” God is the righteous promise keeper.

Nehemiah 9:10-15 God is a merciful deliverer Plagues against Egypt Dividing of Red Sea Cloud of fire and smoke Giving the Law Manna from heaven

God Is An Awesome God Nehemiah 9:32 -- “Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and lovingkindness….”

Nehemiah 9:5 “Arise, bless the Lord your God forever and ever! O may Your glorious name be blessed and exalted above all blessing and praise!
