Senior Pageant Senior girls who are interested in taking part in 2nd Annual Exquisitely Unique Pageant and Scholarship should register and turn in scholarship applications by March 31. If there are any questions, contact Mrs. May.

Youth Institute Summer Youth Institute is a 9 day leadership program for current freshmen and sophomores committed to making a difference in their communities. This FREE program takes place at the University of Mississippi from June 10-18, 2017. Application deadline is March 6. Applications can be found @  winterinstitute.org .

HOSA Tickets for Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser are for sale now! It will be Saturday, March 4th from 7:30 am – 9:30 am. See a HOSA Member or your HOSA Advisor today; tickets are $5!

Doughnuts National History Day is doing a dough nut fundraiser through Shipley’s, a dozen is $8. This is cheaper than you would pay at Shipley’s. Please see Mr. Gilbert or a member of NHD to order. Orders must be placed by March 2.

Junior ACT Juniors,  you will need to present an ID before entering an ACT testing room on Tuesday, February 28th.  Please have your ID readily available.

Sports

Baseball Baseball plays today for their first home game against NE Lauderdale JV will play at 4:00, and Varsity will follow . They will play West Point at home Tuesday and at East Webster on Friday.

Tennis Tennis competes against Hillcrest-AL at 2:30 at home today. They play Heritage Academy at home tomorrow at 4pm.

Softball Softball plays at Caladonia today at 5:30 and will play at West Point tomorrow at 5:30. They will play at Noxapater Thursday and at New Hope on Friday.

Golf Boys and Girls Golf competes today at the Starkville Country Club for their first match. Girls Golf will compete Thursday at Ole Miss Golf course.

Cheer The interest meeting for cheer tryouts will be today at 6:00 PM in the SHS library. Any student who is interested in trying out for the 2017-2018 squad will need to attend with a parent/guardian. Tryouts will be March 31st.

Track The track team will compete in Hattiesburg for the USM High School invitational on Thursday.

Prom Prom date has been changed to April 29. ALL fees must be paid by March 10 to Mrs. Arick in the front office in order to purchase a ticket. If you’re interested in submitting a design for the 2017 Prom t shirt, please see Mrs. Craft. If your design is chosen you will get a free prom ticket and a free t shirt. (PUT VIDEO PROJECT HERE)

Attention Seniors Seniors already accepted into Ole Miss with a strong​ record of leadership and community service should see Ms. May if interested in being nominated for the Chancellor's Leadership Class. This class meets weekly freshman year and provides exceptional leadership development opportunities and a $1,000 scholarship.
