Mrs. McMahan Arizona State University Math in my future Mrs. McMahan Arizona State University

Math Requirements (a) I would have to complete two math courses for my major: Brief Calculus 210 Prerequisite(s): MAT 117, 119, 170, or 171 with C or better or Mathematics Placement Test with a score of 56% or higher; Credit is allowed for only MAT 210 or MAT 251 MAT 211: Mathematics for Business Analysis Pre-requisites: MAT 210, MAT 251, MAT 265 or MAT 270 with C or better

Math Requirements (b) I would have to complete Brief Calculus with a C or higher before I could take Mathematics for Business Analysis.

Math Requirement (c) ASU has a math placement test. You must complete the online 2 hr test before freshman classes start. They offer a 27 question practice test. You can even get a free study guide or a math refresher course based on your test results. I would need to score a 56% or higher My SAT/ACT scores do not exempt me from the test. https://students.asu.edu/math

Math Requirement (d) I found a course syllabus by googling “Brief Calculus+ASU” www.public.asu.edu/~ykang3/files/teachi ng/Mat210.pdf In this course and AMDM, we will cover a lot of the same topics from units 4 and 5. These include: rate of change, increasing and decreasing functions, and exponential functions. The topics are mainly at the beginning of the course. This will be a great help when approaching a course that has to do with calculus.

Math Requirements (e) and (f) E) I took AMDM because I wanted to learn how to use math in the real world. I am also excited about not learning anything new and building on the concepts that I have already been taught. F) Yes, AMDM is accepted as a math class in order to gain access into ASU https://students.asu.edu/freshman/requirements

Financial Requirements (a) If it costs $12,392 for a semester (15 hrs), it would cost $2,478.40 per 3hr course ($12,392 ÷ 5) https://students.asu.edu/tuition/results?acad_year=2016&include_summer=0&residency=NORES&acad_career=UGRD&campus=TEMPE&acad_prog=UGTE&admit_term=&admit_level=&honors=0&program_fee=

Financial Requirements (b) I looked up a Brief Calculus book because that is the freshman course I have to take. I found the book from the course syllabus that I discovered in part (d). Mathematics For Business Analysis, Arizona State University, 2nd edition Publisher: Pearson Custom; Arizona State University Custom Edition edition (2009) ISBN-10: 0558321224 ISBN-13: 978-0558321222

Financial Requirements (c) If you have to take 4yrs of college it would cost a total of $101,832 without book fees. I did not want to add book fees because my math book only costs $4.00; which I know is not normal.

Scholarship Due September 30, 2016 I will receive $5,000 Must be legal US residents, currently enrolled full-time at an accredited university or business school in the US, and a GPA of 3.0 Must write 500-700 words on one of the following topics: How is cloud technology changing the world of accounting, finance and/or economics? What impact do you see this having on your career? What changes do you predict the accounting industry will face in the next decade? How do you (1) intend to react to these changes and (2) contribute to the industry? What compels you to study accounting, economics and/or finance? What role does technology play in your chosen industry and how will you use it in your career?
