A Decade of Achievement

2007 Vision: Create a national AFNR curriculum to: Improve the overall quality of teaching and learning experiences in the agricultural education classroom Increase rigor and relevance of instruction Purposefully teach STEM connections and other core academics within context of agriculture

2007 Vision: Provide a resource to meet pending reforms of Perkins and other public school reforms: Logical sequence of courses that form a pathway or program of study Common assessment of CTE programs

2007 Vision: Increase the supply of highly skilled graduates for future careers in agriculture.

CASE Mission – Remaining True Today after 10 Years CASE is committed to the goal of improving educational experiences for agriculture students by empowering agriculture teachers. The specific mission of CASE is to: Provide a system of curriculum and professional development for teacher change promoting rigorous and relevant student learning opportunities. Leverage partnerships with public and private entities to provide resources to teachers and students to facilitate change. Position Agricultural Education to be a solution to academic challenges in secondary education.

FFA Connections Direct FFA connections: AFNR - CDE round robin, public speaking, parli pro, basic soils, livestock judging, ag issues, etc. Foundation courses - soils in ASP and NRE, ag issues in ASA and NRE, ag mechanics in APT, dairy foods in ASA,  Specialization courses - all end with a major project that is directly tied to Agriscience Fair or Food Science CDE (Product development), have ag issues studies in each Capstone course - research SAE with ties to Agriscience Fair and/or Product Development
