Using Order Comms for syndromic requesting of serology tests We get many ‘mis-requested’ specimens. For instance, hepatitis B e antibody (for hepatitis E); or hepatitis B core antibodies, instead of surface antibodies. There is often confusion about common problems, like which tests to do when after an inoculation injury. Syndromic ordering provides evidence based order sets that should alleviate these problems.
