OLYMPIC FLAG FIRST DESIGNED BY BARON DE COUBERTION, IN 1914. FIRST HOISTED IN 1920 AT ANTWERP (BELGIUM) OLYMPICS. MADE UP OF SILK, WHITE IN COLOUR. THERE ARE FIVE RINGS OF DIFFERENT COLOURS, RED, GREEN,YELLOW,BLUE AND BLACK. EACH RING REPRESENTS EACH CONTINENT WITH ITS UNIQUE COLOUR.

OLYMPIC TORCH INTRODUCED IN 1936 BERLIN OLYMPICS. THE FLAME SYMBOLISES THE MESSAGE BY THE FOUNDER OF MODERN OLYMPIC GAME BARON PIERRE DE COUBERTIN “KEEP ALIVE THE FLAME OF REVIVED OLYMPIC SPIRIT”.

OLYMPIC OATH THE OLYMPIC OATH WILL BE TAKEN BY THE HOST COUNTRY TEAMS CAPTAIN. OATH: “IN THE NAME OF ALL COMPETITORS I PROMISE THAT WE SHALL TAKE PART IN THESE OLYMPIC GAMES RESPECTING AND ABIDING BY THE RULES WHICH GOVERN THEM WITHOUT THE USE OF DOPING AND DRUGS IN THE TRUE SPIRIT OF SPORTSMANSHIP FOR THE GLORY OF SPORT AND THE OWNER OF OUR TEAMS”.

WARS HALT OLYMPICS DUE TO FIRST WORLD WAR 1916 OLYMPIC GAMES WERE NOT HELD. DUE TO SECOND WORLD WAR 1940 & 1944 OLYMPIC GAMES WERE NOT HELD.
