Scope of DTP SO 3.2 PA3 Better connected and energy responsible Danube Region SO 3.2 Improve energy security and energy efficiency ERDF Reg. IP 7e: promoting sustainable transport and removing bottlenecks in key network infrastructures by improving energy efficiency and security of supply through the development of smart energy distribution, storage and transmission systems and through the integration of distributed generation from renewable sources

Scope of DTP SO 3.2 Topics addressed by the DTP Topics NOT addressed by the DTP SO 3.2 of the Danube Transnational Programme covers a niche area related to smart energy distribution, storage and transmission systems and distributed generation from renewable sources: Development of smart grids and integration of RES Regional energy planning and distribution Security of energy supply through a better exploitation of RES Development of specific installations, prototypes or technologies Implementation of actions solely aiming the alignment to specific standards, directives or local commitments Indirect approaches (energy efficiency through awareness raising actions/ training of energy managers) The shift towards low-carbon economy!* * See ERDF Regulation 1301/2013, Art.5, (4)

Links between DTP and EUSDR DTP SOs show direct links to EUSDR PAs, however, not all 12 EUSDR PAs are equally reflected by the DTP due to the thematic concentration. DTP SO EUSDR PA2 3.2 Improve energy security and energy efficiency (short title).   Contribute to the energy security and energy efficiency of the region by supporting the development of joint regional storage and distribution solutions and strategies for increasing energy efficiency and renewable energy usage. "To encourage more sustainable energy"  1. To help to achieve the national targets based on the Europe 2030 climate and energy targets 2. To remove existing bottlenecks in energy to fulfil the goals of the Energy Union within the Danube Region 3. To better interconnect regions by joint activities with relevant initiatives and institutions
