Truth directs “The Walk” John rejoiced when he found those walking in Truth always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 3:7

Truth directs “The Walk” John rejoiced when he found those walking in Truth For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 3 John 1:3-4

Truth directs “The Walk” The truth of God reveals the narrow way with the strait gate. 13 " Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13-14

Truth directs “The Walk” The truth of God reveals the narrow way with the strait gate. Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3

Truth directs “The Walk” The truth of God reveals the narrow way with the strait gate. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. John 17:17

Truth directs “The Walk” God has revealed the truth about: 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4

Truth directs “The Walk” God has revealed the truth about: But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:23-24

Truth directs “The Walk” God has revealed the truth about: All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Love motivates “The Walk” Jesus spoke about love & commandment keeping " If you love Me, keep My commandments. John 14:15

Love motivates “The Walk” Jesus spoke about love & commandment keeping 4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4

Love motivates “The Walk” Jesus spoke about love & commandment keeping 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3

Love motivates “The Walk” Jesus spoke about love & commandment keeping If we can get people to love God then they will obey Him. 1. We have every reason to love God (1 Jn 4:19) 2. God’s love was/is shown (1 Jn 4:10; Jn 3:16) 3. Paul said that God had commended His love to man (Rom 5:6-10) 4. One who refuses to obey God needs to learn to love God and then he will want to obey the Lord (1 Jn 5:3)

Love motivates “The Walk” Jesus spoke about love & commandment keeping Those who really love the Lord will: 1. Obey His commands to repent and be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38) 2. Love their brethren (2 Jn 5; 1 Jn 2:7-11)

Those who lead people from “The Walk” The “for” is the explanation for the emphasis 7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 2 John 1:7

Those who lead people from “The Walk” The “for” is the explanation for the emphasis 1. Keeping God’s command by walking in the truth (2 Jn 4) 2. Walking after truth because we love God (2 Jn 6)

Those who lead people from “The Walk” There are deceivers 15 " Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15

Those who lead people from “The Walk” There are deceivers 1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

Those who lead people from “The Walk” These false teachers were: 1. Denying and opposing Christ (they were “antichrists”). 2. They were deceiving men.

Those who lead people from “The Walk” These false teachers were: Men must love God and keep obeying Him or they will open themselves up to deception and destruction. and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

Conclusion 1. God commands His children to walk in truth. 2. When God’s children love Him they want to walk in Truth. 3. Those who love God and His truth will not be lead way by false teachers.
