The Sino-Tibetan Language Family: Upwards of 20% of the world’s population speaks a Sino-Tibetan language Examples: Mandarin, Thai, Cantonese, and Burmese The Afro-Asiatic Language Family: Many of these languages are spoken in North Africa.
