Assessment Information Evening 2016 Colston’s Primary School
Curriculum 2014 Literacy: Strong emphasis on spelling and vocabulary, grammar and punctuation . Balance retained by maintaining a strong focus on the creative use of language and developing an understanding of different text types. Mathematics: the new programme of study for mathematics is organised into domains focussed on number, measurement, geometry, statistics, ratio and proportion and algebra. The curriculum may appear quite challenging as some content is covered in earlier year groups than was the case previously.
