The World Vaisnava Association Visva Vaisnava Raj Sabha Since 1582 - Vrindavan BAP

Vedic ( Hindu) Culture is the oldest religious scriptural tradition in the world. Vaisnavism with its four traditional branches are the Monotheists amongst Indian schools of thought. Feeling compassion for the suffering humanity and ignorant persons, Vaisnavas have always reached out to help others with Vedic wisdom. The WVA is an umbrella organisation to facilitate this same Vaisnava tradition. UNITY IN DIVERSITY in the service of Rupa and Ragunatha

500 years ago in Mayapur, Bengal, where today the Yogapith Temple stands, appeared the Golden Avatar Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu as the son of Jaganath Misra and Saci devi UNITY IN DIVERSITY in the service of Rupa and Ragunatha

He predicted that the whole world would hear the holy names of Krishna. He started the first civil non violent disobedience movement to defend the religious dignity of India. He taught the Yuga Dharma, the process of Self-realisation for this Age. He revealed Vrindavan to the World UNITY IN DIVERSITY in the service of Rupa and Ragunatha

We follow in the footsteps of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Srila Rupa Goswami Srila Jiva Goswami Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupad And all other leaders of the Visva Vaisnava Raj Sabha…… UNITY IN DIVERSITY in the service of Rupa and Ragunatha

Srila Rupa Goswami told Srila Jiva Goswami to found the Visva Vaisnava Raj Sabha. Many spiritual masters. Many missions. One Goal. -To distribute the mercy of Nitai and Gauranga in every town and village of the world. UNITY IN DIVERSITY in the service of Rupa and Ragunatha

The World Vaisnava Association was reinaugurated in November 1993 in Vrindavan India, at the Mody Bhavan by 27 Sannyasis from 17 different Vaisnava Missions or Branches of the Chaitanya Tree. UNITY IN DIVERSITY in the service of Rupa and Ragunatha

To give a unified forum to advance the interests of Sri Guru and Gauranga in this world - We needed a communication network for the different missions which are rapidly expanding as the pluralistic manifestation of Sri Guru’s powerful influence in this mundane world. To satisfy all the needs we all share as missionary workers of the Yuga Dharma To show the world the traditions and values of the teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. UNITY IN DIVERSITY in the service of Rupa and Ragunatha

Since there are different Vaisnava missions active in many places of the world, the need to formalize this Sabha has again arisen. Sometimes the dignity of our tradition is being attacked by the press or by ignorant people who missrepresent the Vedas and our spiritual masters. Sometimes missunderstandings arise as siddhanta and practical activities of different missions may have differences. UNITY IN DIVERSITY in the service of Rupa and Ragunatha

Over the centuries the Visva Vaisnava Raj Sabha was interrupted as great Acaryas and protectors of this Forum left the world and their decendants had to reorganize the respective Missionary activities Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur revived the Sabha and so did Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada. As the entire world came into contact with this tradition through the unparalled preaching of Srila Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada, new dimensions and challenges have to be met by the WVA UNITY IN DIVERSITY in the service of Rupa and Ragunatha

A number of different committees were formed to cover all necessary areas of common interest. To hold regular meetings of all secretaries of the different Missions close to the time of the main yearly functions. To broadcast the world-wide activities of the WVA and its members in appropriate publications. To have a strong Internet presence and high visibility of all WVA activities. To inspire members to sponsor the different costs and to avoid having to create a full organisational structure. UNITY IN DIVERSITY in the service of Rupa and Ragunatha

To encourage all Vaisnavas to participate in the WVA, both individuals and members of different missions. Let them join the committees which they have interest in. Every committee’s proposals are reported to the joint forum of the managing committee. Communicate all this to the other Vaisnavas Make Press statements and provide all members with full information on the activities of the WVA through Books, Internet and magazines.
