Informational Meeting 4/11/2016 GMS Travel Team Informational Meeting 4/11/2016

Mobility Options for 2016-2017 Developmental Gymnasts will be placed in one of the following programs: Pre-Team- 3 different ones depending on age House Team- GMS X-CEL based Team for all gymnasts GMS X-CEL Bronze- 3 Teams based on coaches decisions Level 3- USAG

Pre-Team Pre- team Practice – between 4-6 hours weekly, maybe more in the summer. Gymnasts will be placed based on age and skill Will be required to compete in the in house mini meets Team leotard is required

GMS House Team Practice – 4-6 hours weekly Will be comprised of Bronze, Silver and Gold level gymnasts who will compete in house. Skills and routines will vary for each gymnast They will have to get their own routines choreographed and pick a music. Meets will be at GMS with the possibility of a guest gyms attending. Team Leotard required

X-CEL Bronze TEAM Practice 7 hours weekly in the summer Is the first Travel Team of our program 3 teams , gymnasts will be placed by coaches USAG Membership required All competitions are Mandatory Uniform required- Warm up Jacket, Pants, Leotard. Booster Obligations required by each family

Travel Information Bronze team usually compete in 5 meets a year- 3 home meets and 2 away, if they qualify to the State Meet it may add one meet. Meets are typically once a month starting in December or January. Away meets are not far, they are typically local Woodbridge, Chantilly, Fredericksburg, etc.. State meets are usually in VA Beach Meets are mandatory unless they interfere with a family vacation or preplanned event.

Fees There are certain fees associated with being on a travel team. These include: Meet fees- Fees due per meet the gymnasts attend. Fee goes to host gym for judges, awards, insurance etc. Range from $75.00 to $120.00 per meet. They are not all due at the same time, they have due dates in which the team mom will notify families of.

Fees (cont) Booster Fees: BGBC There are fees due to cover coaches expenses and general travel team expenses, holiday gifts, end of year banquet and gift, summer kick off party, Fall pep rally, team events. (see budget) Assessment ( Booster fees) XCEL Bronze fees for 2016= 650.00 ( estimated) These fees are due in 5 installments Families are encouraged to fundraise throughout the year to go toward assessments

Fees Tuition- $257- estimated Uniform: Jacket, Pants, Bag You may purchase used or new

Placement Placement is determined by head coach and recommendation of current coaches Placement will be determined by May , letters will go out shortly after placement is determined. Students will be re-evaluated in August for 2016-2017 placement, it may change from summer placement
